Breast cancer

Breast cancer patients may undergo surgery to possibly cure cancer by completely removing the tumor, determining its spread or treating the local recurrence of breast cancer.

Several types of surgeries can be performed and depend on a number of factors, such as the tumor’s size and location, the patient’s overall health or even the treatments previously administered. Each type of intervention carries numerous benefits and risks. It is therefore the surgeon’s duty to explain the different possible surgical options depending on the patient’s context.

Below you will find a list of informative videos explaining the various types of surgical treatments offered during a breast cancer surgery as well as the measures to be taken to quickly identify the appearance of a tumor.
